Technical Art - The technical art competition accepts physical media and online entries.
- Online art entries must be integrated into a viewer application, not dependent on the design package used to create them.
- Please do not submit entries in any format larger than 40" x 30".
Please note: Due to low numbers in previous years, the Society has opted against holding a Technical Art Competition at the International level. We are, however, holding a local Art Competition in the Twin Cities Community, along with the Technical Publications and Online Communication. Technical Art entries that win awards will not progress to the International Competition this year. Technical Publications Technical publications cannot be submitted in electronic format. If the publication you are entering is normally distributed in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf file) format, submit three printed and bound copies instead. If the publication includes color that impacts how it is used, submit color copies. Online Communication The Online Communication Competition accepts entries that depend on a computer or similar device for viewing. Qualified entries include computer-based training, online documentation/demonstrations, help systems, simple-text retrieval systems, multi-media information, and web pages. Web entries are judged as they exist on the day of the judging.
The Technical Art and Online Competitions accept entries that run on PC, Macintosh, or web platforms. If your entry runs on another platform/special equipment you must provide any specialized hardware or software at your own expense to the judging location. If you send compressed files, please send self-extracting files. |
